Why Serene?

Life gives each one of us an individual personal experience, while studies and research guide us to understand our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors from a research-based perspective.

A therapist’s ability to guide you based on research-supported understanding is much better than any advice that you can find in a book, from a friend, or from a life guru. Talk to a therapist.

Family Therapy

Family as the smallest building block of our society plays a structural and functional role in our lives, healthy family interactions help its members to deal and cope better with external factors influencing members. Therapists guide family members in detecting processes and interactions that keep the family in a spiral.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)

Studies show that one to three percent of the population suffers from a distressing worry about their appearance.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most effective therapies to deal with BDD.

Couples Therapy

In her book “The Practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy” Susan Johnson explains how the EFT therapist helps each person expand and organize his or her inner experience, the expression of this experience then involves a new presentation of self, a new way of relating to the partner, which in turn evokes new responses from this partner. Stated slightly differently, new experience creates a new kind of dialogue, and this new dialogue creates new interactional events. These events then constitute new steps and initiate new patterns in the couple’s dance. (Johnson, S., 2004)
